INFO:

A round, intricate brass instrument with a prominent bell. Known for a warm tone and large range.

Background

 First discovery documented around 17th century. Used mostly on horseback during recreational hunting. Became used in ensembles in the 18th century. Formerly known as a natural horn before rotors and valves were invented in the 19th century.
Flourished in Baroque and Romantic periods, has been a staple of orchestras and concert bands ever since.
Became close with Trumpet in the 18th century. They are relatively the same age as Trombone. Actual age unknown.
