FORM AP-106D: History known of individual.

INFO:

A large conical brass instrument that resembles a tuba. Known for its mellow sound.

Background

 First discovery documented around the middle of the 1800s, the same time that Ophicleide disappeared. Together with Tuba, took over the position of Ophicleide in ensembles.
Has not become particularly recognizable due to the similarities to Tuba and occupying the same tonal range as Trombone, but is still a valuable member to brass bands and concert ensembles.
Occasionally allowed in orchestral groups, replacing Trombone. They are relatively the same age as Tuba and the saxophones. Actual age unknown.
